Sewing machine classes for beginners

Sewing classes for beginners are in person at my house in High Barnet, North London. These lessons are for beginners aged 10 and over, on a one-to-one basis to help get you sewing independently. Children under 10 please contact me first prior to booking. If you already know the basics, this course is not for you. The lessons are about learning the skills needed to set up and start using a sewing machine so you can go on to sew whatever you like . You may have sewn a long time ago and forgotten what to do, or you may have never sewn in your life. I'm here to help you get going and work through common mistakes and difficulties so you can build your confidence and keep sewing.

 How many lessons it takes depends on the individual as everyone learns at their own pace.

• use of my John Lewis 220 sewing machine, which is great for learning to-sew. If you have your own machine please bring it with you and email me the make and model in advance.
